Lily Belle

Holy cow! It's already been 9 days since miss Lily FINALLY graced us with her presence! It's crazy how fast time flies when you're staring at a precious baby :)

Lily Belle Greeno
Sunday June 26th at 11:05 am.
7 lbs 8 oz
21 inches

She is totally worth every single minute of waiting. She sleeps really well... when she feels like it. We're just trying to figure out a schedule for now. She's also figured out the eating thing & does really well... when she feels like :) This sweet girl definitely knows how she likes things & she doesn't mind telling ya.
We are blessed beyond belief and so thankful!

Summer

The other day at work I spent a little (ok a lot) of time daydreaming about packing up my sweet baby girl in the stroller and walking through the park in the summer sunshine. It's starting to get warm and summery which always tends to have a very positive effect on my mood :) Now I'm finally getting around to adding some pictures & it's a cold and rainy Wednesday morning. Oh well, these are making my morning better.

We just LOVE us some sunshine around here. These shots are from last Thursday when Milo & I decided to do some serious sabbathing (you know, like a Sabbath day- only a verb)and just bask in the lovely summerness! Here's one of my perma-swollen feet. So sad. I think my least favorite part of pregnancy so far is the swollen feet... I know I've had it pretty easy if that's the worst (well & the heartburn is no bueno) but I've seriously burst into uncontrollable tears over cankles on more than one occasion the past few weeks. Poor Hunter.

Anyway, back to daydreaming about sweet sundresses, sparkly headbands & teeny baby bikinis. Only 5 more weeks to go!! (Well... 5-7 I hear but we're being optimistic k?) That girl is already so spoiled! I have baby shower pictures still to post AND more pictures of her sweet sweet room! That's right, we did it!! HUGE thank you to Shea, Brooke, Jana & Mom. Of all the places in the whole world to have to stay up all night comforting a crying baby... this room would be where I would choose :) I think Lily will love it so much she'll just snooze the night away and never cry. ha!

Well, I'm off to coffee and craft with Alyssa. I'm SO excited! She embroidered the CUTEST little onesie and she's going to teach me how to make more. So fun :) Plus I'm already way behind on this. Oops. I tend to see things on blogs, get super excited about them, talk about how I'll do them too. And then remember that every minute of my day is booked. But, not to worry. I'll be making some baby girl clothes today and perhaps tomorrow I'll get back to this quilt project that I almost forgot about!

New City Bike Pub Crawl

New City Church (our church home since we moved to CO over 2 years ago) put on a bike pub crawl a few weeks ago. It was an awesome turnout and so so much fun! Unfortunately I may have been the only event photographer. You all are already aware of how much room there is for improvement when comes to me and photography. But add to that the fact that we were riding bikes and drinking for several hours.

Next year I'll suggest that New City finds a photographer instead of me with a fanny pack. Just sayin.

Yeah. I was serious about the fanny pack.

Denver O' Denver

Yesterday was a fun day that I am so grateful for. I also got to check off my first list item :) Hunter and I have been talking about a bike date since we moved into an apartment that sits right on the Cherry Creek trail. We originally planned to bring Milo, but that's a story for a different day...

Anyway, it was a beautiful ride and the weather was perfect! It took about 40 minutes to get to City O' City a vegetarian restaurant we keep hearing about that serves lots of gluten free options as well. It was a great little place.

Half coffee shop + half bar (that serves several gluten free beers)= My kind of place!

Then we biked around downtown for a little, got some iced coffee and right before we headed home Hunter surprised me by stopping at Mermaids Bakery. It is very very cute and inspired me :) We planned to take the light rail back but didn't have cash... So I think the total was around 18 miles today!

I came home with extremely tired legs, a SORE bum & blisters on my hands, but also very refreshed and content. It felt like we took a mini Denver vacation and it was exactly what I needed! Days like yesterday remind me why I'm so sure Hunter & I will not just survive marriage until death does us part. We have so much fun together (and honestly he still loves to spoil the crap out of me so that helps :) He is such a blessing and I'm so thankful for him. Just sayin...

BV Part I

My brother Tyler is working as a white water raft guide this summer in Buena Vista, CO so we've taken 2 mini stay-cations to visit him, bask in the beautiful mountains (while they're sunny & hike-able...NOT snow covered), "camp" and just get away. Both trips have been absolutely fabulous & I think it's about time I share some pics!

Part I was the very first Bartelson/Greeno family vacation back in June. Bekah & John are some of our very best friends & since our Mexican dream vacation that we had been planning since the October blizzard suddenly became unrealistic (it's expensive to fly to Mexico for an all inclusive beach dream vacation...who knew?) we decided to go camping :)

The first day we arrived in BV we hopped right on a raft and Ty took us down Brown's Canyon. Here's Hunter looking good in all his gear.

Dana also joined us for the weekend. It was so fun getting to know her! Such a fun girl, plus she brought some great ideas to the table...jogging photography anyone? :) Here's a group pic before pushing off.

Apparently they are having problems with people picking up pets on the rivier. Don't do it.

Our guide himself... In all his viking glory!

Such a fun fun day! Thanks Ty :)

So much more to come but my coffee's cold, the dog is getting heavy & I have to go vacuum before baby Matthew gets here. We're babysitting today! Woo :)

To be continued...

Ah...Summer Nights

Baby got a new guitar.

It's a dobro actually.

This is great news for me because I've already enjoyed hours of that sweet, twangy bluegrass perfection. A few candles and a cold beer on the deck. Yep it's summer.

I'm in love. And amazingly content these days.

Memorial Day

Last Monday was Memorial Day and my first official day of summer. It truly did a lot for my attitude and has helped me survive the past week at my desk :)

First the girls got together at 7:30am for some coffee and garage "sailing". We had a rough start...Seriously clean up your old signs folks-Huge Sale TODAY is extremely misleading. No worries we just headed to the Goodwill for some 50% fun. That's where I found the chair. I'll post more pictures once it's fixed up but let's just say I'm smitten. It's green leather and it started out at $15 but has a broken leg. Since it was half off day I got pumped about a $7.50 chair...but it gets better. She marked it down AGAIN and I paid $3.25!!! What?! SO excited :) We finally found a sweet yard sale where Bekah got an amazing bike and Blaze found a blackboard:

Next we headed back to the pool for some food, margs and SUN! Such an amazing summer day with awesome friends. Apples to Apples was fun, of course, and what better ending than good old Mexican food (& yes more margs). My favorite pictures of the day:

Awesome.

"weekend"

Yesterday was another lovely day off. I'll spare you the long details this week but check out the awesome pictures over at Blaze's sweet blog . She says it much more beautifully than I could!

Today wasn't so bad either. I got to start off the day with baby Canon and his mama Julie...always a good time! Then off to the Rockies game with Hunter and my mentee, Griselda.

She is such a fun girl!

Hunter and I came home and had Sangria and chips & salsa on the deck. AMAZING!

I did get made fun of for taking this picture but I just couldn't let a snack this beautiful and summery vanish w/o a photo :) Ok lame. Whatever.

My boys look pooped. I guess I better go tuck them in!
