Maybe you noticed the baby countdown addition to the right? It seemed fitting as we literally are counting down the days until we get to meet our baby girl! I'm so so excited to trade this belly for a baby & Hunter is getting jealous that I get to hang out with her all the time and he never gets a turn :)
Unfortunately, as "ready" as we think we are... this is baby girl's room as of a couple weeks ago... before we added a large unassembled crib and a couple extra large boxes. Not exactly fit for a babe. And definitely not this beauty. Anyway, thanks to Hunter you can now walk around in there and I'm headed to Goodwill with another large load of junk (somehow junk seems to find a way of multiplying at our house- such a bummer).
I still love this SO much and the wonderful news is that I only have to daydream about this beautiful room for a few more hours because Mom, Jana, Shea & Brooke are all headed here RIGHT NOW to make it a reality! I'm so pumped... Milo too. This is his excited face.
In other wonderful news, Sugar Mama cupcakes made their first appearance in a retail location yesterday!
The Ruffly Rose is the cutest little flower & gift shop on Pearl street and the mocha cupcakes fit right in perfectly. Hopefully they will be a huge hit!
I'm off to donate junk and do a little more cleaning. Have a lovely weekend! PS- Only 46 more days :) :) :)

Easter
I hope you all had a lovely Easter. This post is mostly for my parents who sent pictures and text messages yesterday about how fabulous their feast was...I guess just so we could get jealous for being far away. Rude :) I wanted to let them know that we had ourselves a grand old time in Colorado too. Even though we did miss being with them for Easter.
I got really excited about my newly painted living/dining room and decided to host. It's safe to say we exceeded the suggested occupancy for the small area but it was cozy and perfect. We had great company and I even tried a new recipe! (I've actually tried a few since that desperate cry for help.) I made this quinoa salad in a "squash boat". It was pretty good but I forgot to get pics.
In all seriousness I do get always miss the fam during holidays that we can't be together. But I'm so thankful for my other wonderful family: Gary, Margie & Hayley who we got to spend Easter with and for Tyler of course, and for Beth, Amy and Jordan! I was so content cramming everyone around our table and enjoying my first Sunday off in a long time. It made me so thankful for Jesus and everything he sacrificed to show us how to love. Lately I can't get enough Mumford and Sons. They have some of the most powerful lyrics that really move me. This week I can't get enough of these:
Love that will not betray you,
dismay or enslave you,
It will set you free
Be more like the man
you were made to be.
There is a design,
An alignment to cry,
At my heart you see,
The beauty of love
as it was made to be
What an awesome description of God's love for us. Sometimes I'm overwhelmed when I spend a day loving people and being so loved and then I realize that the best love in this life is only a glimpse of "the beauty of love as it was made to be".
Amy brought her sweet sweet baby, Adrian, too of course. This kid makes me so excited to be a mama! I'm going to make Amy hang out all the time when Lily is born so that he can teach her how to be awesome at being a baby.
I also perfected a new lemon cupcake recipe! I didn't really think I was a huge fan of lemon, but I made it because it seemed like the most Eastery flavor? ...Anyway they have a lemon "cream chesse" frosting and they were really delicious. More pictures over at the Sugar Mama website of course.
(Love you mom & dad!! Thanks for the pictures and texts... I really was a little jealous :)

FIESTA!
So I figured Hunter needed a big fiesta to celebrate the big 2-6. After all it's his last birthday before parenthood!
So I baked and crafted... and shopped for pinatas and fiesta mustaches of course :)
Those are by far my favorite party pics from the evening. Anyway the party was super fun and I even made some of Kandy's famous "Party On Salsa" which is always a hit!
And now for a little shameless self promotion... Check out my new Sugar Mama website that is now featuring the fabulous margarita birthday cupcakes!
Feliz Cumpleanos mi amor :)

New Kitchen!!
Remember the first kitchen post I did awhile ago? Well the real after pictures are finally ready!! Bekah came over again and painted cabinets with me... and then about 2 weeks later I finally finished hanging them and touching up the paint. So without further ado... Here's the sweet craigslist cabinet I told you about. It makes SO much difference having the extra cabinet space!

Presh
See? Told ya :) I went to this giant kids consignment sale with Grandma Margie last week and found this sweet sweet skirt that is still in the living room... Because I just LOVE looking at it and saying to Hunter "oooh our baby girl is going to be SO CUTE". He says "uh huh. Of course. She'll be cute in a diaper, you know. How much did that cost?" But this outfit was only $5 so ha! Plus how great will it be with her tiny Ugg boots from Shea?

Pupcakes
We adopted our first baby a whole year ago! We've decided to celebrate Milo's birthday on April 1 (the day we brought him home). So this year we brought Milo, ice cream & a dozen "pupcakes" to game night at the Earnest's. Here he is. The birthday boy in all his glory :)
But first he needed a bath...
Once he was all cleaned up and smelling delicious he was ready to party. He even got his very own "pupcake" which he LOVED. I really wish I had video of him digging in :)
Anyway, it was fun night and really great to celebrate Milo while he's still an only child. Love you Milo!

Help!
We are in a serious serious dinner rut. I've been dedicating a lot of my spare time and energy to house projects... and Pop Chips. Just kidding they don't take up that much time. But they are extremely delicious and sometimes I'm just tempted to eat the whole bag for dinner so I don't have to cook tacos... again. Seriously try these. They're so dang amazing.*
Back to the problem at hand. I need some new, but still pretty quick and easy recipes. Any suggestions? My favorite cookbook is the compilation my mom put together for my wedding. It's just time to update it! So post away. I need your dinner inspirations!
Thanks a million <3
*Pop Chips did not pay me to write this review. I'm just pregnant and really hungry. :)
